Why not protect corner lot to keep part of the water where it falls? Video includes discussion of this and several other issues from Feb. 7, 2012, meeting of Fayetteville City Council
Please click on individual images to ENLARGE view of wetland barely outside the 50-foot riparian buffer set by the 2011 Fayetteville stream-side protection ordinance. Site now slated for construction. Spout Spring Branch flows from left to right through a culvert under MLK JR Blvd. A low berm around this corner could contain a great deal more water, which would recharge the stream slowly as all low-impact development manuals would require.
